GVCO Caring Hands Teams Up with GVSD for Grocery Gift Cards for Local Families in need

Thank you to all who donated!!
GVCO Caring Hands Food Fund has raised $4,700 in funds to buy grocery gift cards for families in the Great Valley School District who need help feeding their families.

Caring Hands has been working with Krista Russell at the Great Valley School District for several years. As a result, we were glad we could help when she reached out during this pandemic.

Krista Russell, Social Worker, Great Valley School District:
"For several years Caring Hands of GVCO has contributed generously to Great Valley students and families in need in a variety of ways. They donated thousands of dollars in gift cards for groceries and children’s holiday gifts and even helped families pay bills during especially difficult times. They have come through when it seemed all hope was lost. Caring Hands seems to always be there for the Great Valley community."

GV Caring Hands is making a difference in our community. Thank you for your support!

 Headbands for Healthcare Personnel!

The GVCO Caring Hands Program has been looking for ways to support the wonderful health care workers on the front lines of this pandemic.  Recently we became aware that some of these brave people have experienced discomfort around their ears from wearing masks for long periods of time.

Caring Hands has partnered with Strawberry Blonde Bands, a home business in Phoenixville, to provide colorful headbands, complete with two buttons, allowing medical staff to attach the mask straps away from their ears.  The demand for these special headbands has been tremendous from hospitals and medical facilities; to date Caring Hands has delivered over 200 headbands under this effort, with another 100 in production.

Thank You to our health care personnel for their outstanding, caring service to the community!

If you would like to donate to this initiative, go to  GVCO Caring Hands Response Fund to help more
of our first responders receive headbands to relieve stress on their ears and head.

Caring Hands Spreads Cheer Through the Holidays

Thanks to a hardworking crew of GVCO Caring Hands volunteers and a very generous Great Valley community, we have been able to make many positive contributions towards making our community better!

Just during the last few weeks, GVCO Caring Hands launched its first ever clothing drive and donated a truck load of children's items for Cradles to Crayons; hand wrote Thanksgiving cards for Surrey Services' homebound seniors; wrapped and donated over 300 gifts for holiday parties for seniors through Great Valley and Phoenixville Area Senior Centers; raised funds by auctioning the Giant Nutcracker and donated $1,000 of gift cards to GVSD social worker for distribution throughout the school district and $1,000 specifically for our four families through the "Families in Need" initiative.

We are blessed with a great community!

Caring Hands Giant Nutcracker Auction Raised $480!

The winning bid was $480!

Thank you to R.H. Benedix Contracting & Fabrication, our neighbor on Bacton Hill Road, for your very generous bid! From Jennifer Kerbeck and Bobby Benedix, "Our family is forever grateful for your wonderful program and applaud you and your entire team of incredible volunteers!!!!! Since we are not suited for coaching, we are always enthusiastic to support any of the outreach programs that service our community. Additionally, we are thankful for the many teammates and families we have been honored to know through GVBL."
