GVCO Ends 2021 Right Where It Started The Year...Giving Back.

In early December GVCO partnered with GWES PTO and their winter coat drive. As you are aware it was a tremendous success, with 125 winter coats being donated. The goal was to redistribute the donated coats locally to those in need. In mid December GVCO was connected to some administrators at Devereux Behavioral Health Services, who has multiple locations in the area. They were very excited and very much in need of the coats.

After a few emails with the admin office in Devon, we were e-introduced to some programming coordinators at both Devereux's locations on Sugartown Rd and also their Boot Rd community. It was a great fit as they collaborated and determined each individual need for each coat.

On New Year's Eve day the coats were delivered, and distributed New Years Day weekend! Devereux was very appreciative and thought it was a tremendous undertaking and donation. Kudo's to the GWES PTO and the Great Valley community for their geneosity and support.

Holiday Gifts for Seniors

Many Caring Hands volunteers wrapped holiday gifts for local senior citizens. The donated gifts were distributed to Surrey Services and the Phoenixville Area Senior Center.

GVCO Caring Hands Teams Up with GVSD

GVCO Caring Hands Food Fund has raised $4,700 in funds to buy grocery gift cards for families in the Great Valley School District who need help feeding their families. Caring Hands has worked with Krista Russell at the Great Valley School District for several years. As a result, we were glad we could help when she reached out during this pandemic. Said Krista Russell, Social Worker, Great Valley School District: "For several years Caring Hands of GVCO has contributed generously to Great Valley students and families in need in a variety of ways. They donated thousands of dollars in gift cards for groceries and children’s holiday gifts and even helped families pay bills during especially difficult times. They have come through when it seemed all hope was lost. Caring Hands seems to always be there for the Great Valley community." Thank you for your support!
