Volleyball Coaches

Jerry Hu - GVVL Clinic Instructor

Jerry played volleyball for four years during high school as a defensive specialist and for two years after graduating college.  He enjoys digging and diving for balls and seeks to improve his hitting and setting. He organizes weekly pickups throughout the year and is the team captain of two teams in local adult volleyball leagues. He loves volleyball and aims to instill similar excitement in those he plays with!

Evan Miller - GVVL Volleyball Instructor

Evan played many sports growing up and started playing recreational volleyball two years ago.  Volleyball became his favorite sport so he watched YouTube videos and practiced three to four times weekly after work to improve his technique. Recently, he has been working on his jump float serve and jump setting, which has greatly improved in the last half year. Now, he plays in a BB adult volleyball league in West Chester and in various pickup open gyms throughout the week.

Ryan Mullins - Guest Coach

Ryan played for four years in high school as a hitter and blocker.  He moved to West Chester a year ago for work and began playing volleyball again to meet new people. Soon after, he met Jerry and made many other new friends.  He plays volleyball passionately, and at the same time he enjoys being goofy and lighthearted on the court.  Others have noted how much his bump passing and defensive positioning has improved since they first met him.

Ashley Reese - Guest Coach

Ashley played throughout middle school, high school, and college as a libero. Now, she plays to stay in good shape and to be with friends. She is an all-around skilled player, and having her on the court makes the volleyball energy more fun for everybody. A special education teacher at Wayne Elementary, Ashley is particularly good with kids.
