Tuesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Sundays 11:00am - Noon
Location: Great Valley Middle School - Grass Field #9
No experience necessary
All 1st and 2nd grade players will practice on Tuesdays and Sundays in a clinic style of play. The goal of our clinics is to teach fundamental lacrosse skills in a fun and positive environment. Each week will consist of different drills and end with a scrimmage. We MAY schedule some round robins with local clubs later in the season as the girls develop.
Commitment
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! GVGYL's expectation is that your daughter is committed to making practices and games. GVGYL is 100% organized and facilitated by volunteers. To be fair to coaches, teammates, and the teams we play against, we expect that by registering, your daughter(s) is(are) committed to making practices and games.
Equipment
The following must be brought to EVERY practice:
- Mouth guard
- Girls lacrosse goggles
- Girls lacrosse stick
Any player who comes to practice or a game without a mouth guard and eye gear will not be permitted to play. his is a safety rule and there are no exceptions. Please remember that all jewelry, including earrings, must be removed prior to all practices and games.
US Lacrosse Membership
US Lacrosse is the national governing body of men and women's lacrosse in the United States. It provides a leadership role in virtually every aspect of the game and has more than 450,000 members throughout the United States, and offers programs and services to inspire participation while protecting the integrity of the sport.
- Membership in US Lacrosse is required to participate in Great Valley Girls Youth League. You can register for US Lacrosse Membership at www.uslacrosse.org/membership.
